Overview

Progressive Distributors Ltd. is currently recruiting for the position of Warehouse Safety and Training Officer.  The successful candidate assists the Warehouse Food Safety Supervisor in keeping the company up to date and compliant with all safety protocols, safety inspections and trainings. The successful candidate must have a good disposition and presence along with a solid experience in an administrative role.  Must be punctual, honest, reliable, and hardworking. A strong work ethic, positive attitude, and the ability to work unsupervised with frequent close deadlines to produce reports will be required. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. The Company will provide training on its internal computer systems.

Salary range: CI$35,00.00-CI$38,000.00 per annum commensurate with experience.  An attractive compensation and benefits package (including medical insurance, vacation, and pension) is being offered to the qualified candidate.  All applications received will be reviewed and only candidates meeting the mandatory requirements will be contacted for interview.  

Core Technical Competencies Required

• Must have at least 2 years experience in developing and implementing policies and standard operating procedures in food safety and sanitation standards throughout the entire organization.
• Must be trained and knowledgeable in HACCP and food safety systems.
• Must have experience in identifying and resolving potential food safety and sanitation hazards.
• Must have experience in developing and organizing food safety, sanitation and workplace safety trainings.
• Must have experience in successfully managing and completing supplier audits on food safety and warehouse sanitation compliance programs.
• Must have experience in managing product recalls and the ability to communicate necessary steps to all stakeholders and track responses and results.
• Must be willing and able to work in a freezer or refrigerated environment for extended periods.  
• Must be physically fit and be able to lift an average of 60 lbs. unassisted.

• Where relevant, applicants must submit evidence of Caymanian Status or PR Certificate (confirming role as Warehouse Safety and Training Officer).
• PR applicants should include most recent receipt showing payment of relevant PR fees.
• Married to Caymanian Certificate (if applicable).
• Must submit proof of COVID-19 Vaccination.

Qualifications

• Must have at least a High School Degree or equivalent.
